The Suspicious Fish provides our participants with the space, the structure, the giggles, and the awe.

Our participants undertake their personal exploration of various storytelling mediums as they develop both their individual and collective narratives.

Strengthening community through story

“I was a fish kid for four years! From the time I started when I was 8 years old until I finished elementary school, I was part of the after-school group. We had a great space and lots of helpful and silly people who helped us develop our own stories and make films. Fish wasn't just a place for all of this though. We also had a great place to spend time every week after school to just relax and be a part of a group.

The snacks weren’t always great though.”

The Suspicious Fish Activities

Our programming and activities focus on storytelling. Through this medium, we are able to address base literacy growth. We introduce and expose our participants to the impact storytelling can have on an individual and their community.

Well, well, well, what do we have here?

Workshops

Do you have a story to share? Are you looking for fellow writers with whom to share your writing?

We suggest, support, and listen. We understand that each participant brings a different set of interests, approaches, and depth to their stories. Our activities and prompts are in place to respond to each individual.
